Term 4: Week 1

Ni sa bula MWPS Vuvale,

We trust you have all had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed spending time with family and catching up with friends. Like always, it goes crazy fast and now we are one sleep away from the start of Term 4!

We kick the term off celebrating our Fijian brothers and sisters. This year’s theme for Macawa ni Vosa Vakaviti – Fijian Language Week is Me vakabulabulataki, vakamareqeti, ka vakaqaqacotaki na vosa vakaviti, which means, Nurture, Preserve and Sustain the Fijian language.

This week we also welcome the team from Life Education Trust onsite for the next two weeks. Today children and young people face a lot of challenges, including obesity, substance use, mental health and well-being and bullying. The decisions we make as young people can dramatically affect how we live our lives in the future – and this is why Life Education exists. Through education, the Life Education Caravan experience helps students to understand how decisions they make today can affect their future health and well-being.

Week 1 Reminders:
-School starts at 8:55am. Don’t forget sunhats are a must for Term 4.
-This week you need to bring morning tea as there is no Fruit in Schools until next week.
-Shoes on for school, wear a t-shirt and pop a jumper in your bag as the weather is quite changeable.

-A warm welcome to all our new families, especially our learners starting school for the first time.

Our team of teachers has been busy through the break organising, planning and preparing for Term 4. We can not wait to see you all tomorrow morning!
