Week Ahead: Term 1 Week 9

We are looking forward to seeing all our school whānau this week at Parent Teacher Interviews. This term’s parent interviews focus on goal setting for our tamariki. It’s important that learners understand where they are at, where they are headed, and what they need to do to get there. They’ll help set these goals, and during the interviews, both the child and the teacher will explain them. When children are involved in setting their own goals, they’re more motivated to achieve them. Your participation in this process increases the likelihood of your child succeeding. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Week 9 Reminders:
-Don’t forget to book a Parent Teacher Conference time, we are looking forward to seeing you.
-MWPS Values: Manākitanga is about extending love and compassion to others, whether it’s helping a loved one, encouraging classmates, or supporting a stranger in need. At home this week, let’s focus on acts of encouragement. Let’s use our words to build each other up, to make someone feel good or bring a smile to their face. At the dinner table this week, let’s share our acts of kindness and listen to each other’s stories.

-School starts at 8:50am
-In class learning activities

Wednesday
-School starts at 8:50am
-2:15pm New Entrant Afternoon Information Session.
-3:45pm Parent Teacher Interviews start

Thursday
-Teacher Only Day: Please make alternative arrangements for your children.
-Parent Teacher Interviews run all day in the MWPS Hall

Friday
-Good Friday: Public Holiday School Closed

Easter Weekend
-School Closed: Easter Monday & Tuesday
-School Starts: Wednesday, April 3rd.
